The gateway to surfing, fishing, whale watching & hiking.
Ucluelet, pronounced You-clue-let and affectionately known as Ukee, sits on the wild West Coast of Vancouver Island. As the gateway to Barkley Sound, it offers access to the Broken Group Islands and countless coastal gems. Often considered the quieter, quainter counterpart to Tofino, Ukee is home to more locals and far less of the chaos. With surf beaches and beautiful paddling spots only minutes away, it’s easy to dive into adventure here. The town also boasts the Ucluelet Aquarium — no longer so little — and the Wild Pacific Trail, one of the region’s most scenic coastal walks.
